Temporarily stopping the swooshing sound of his fountain pen, the tenth squad captain beckoned the intruder to his afternoon paperwork delight to come in and state his business. As expected, the familiar suppressed reiatsu signature turned out to be holding a tray containing a plate of chocolate chip cookies and a mug of warm milk with a post-it stamped on it. The captain had told Yomi again and again to stop treating him like a child and do away with the childish afternoon treats but his threats and orders were ignored much like the passing of a gentle breeze. The captain placed two piles of papers on the floor beside his desk to make way for the tray. He had learned a long time ago that arguing with the white haired liar would only result in loss as the Yutaka, as he learned the hard way, has acquired a great talent in the subtle art of blackmail. The captain just welcomed the treats since they were delicious anyway. He was starting to look forward to Yomi's visits since everytime he does, good things come his way, though he would never admit to it. This time, in addition to the cookies and milk, freshly baked garlic sticks and sour cream were added into the mix, together with a neatly made job report added to the captain's stack of already growing paper piles. The captain looked up to the six foot one inch tall tenth division grunt. Yomi's usual warm smile was present, as well as those eyes always full of happiness and mischief. He remembered a two weeks before when those eyes helped him know what Hinamori Momo's feelings for him were, much to his tragic dismay. He looked over the shinigami's shoulder, a tall orange haired shinigami was present.
"Kurosaki Ichigo, what do you need?"
The taichou asked in between cookies and milk. Ichigo swayed his head left and right before grinning. Toushirou looked at Yomi's face, something was off. There were not creases on the liar's face but he knew Yomi too much to be ignorant of it. He could feel it in his veins.
"Out with it Yomi, what's the problem."
The captain put down the cookies and milk, Ichigo stared at the liar blankly, awaiting his answer. A sigh came out, Yomi's face turned to a serious one.
"Something serious. Promise me not to tell anyone......."
