I was trapped in a nightmare I couldn’t escape; as if thousands of eerie shadows were following me, trapping me in the darkness – an unknown and irksome mystery that could not be solved, my very destiny, my very fate, hidden in the niches of my soul, etched in my horror stricken eyes – a nightmare that repelled me from the surface, forever submerging me in the depths of the waters…keeping me from the truth…

            I looked into the eyes of the fallen angel, who was smiling as his gleaming white teeth found their mark.  I felt my lips pull into a smile…because I knew that the mystery was solved…

            That detail that had been hidden from me was finally revealed…but it had been revealed too late…

            The angel’s eyes glowed red, his teeth drenched in blood, my broken neck clasped in his hands.  He spoke to me gently, his strong hands holding me in place.  What peace…knowing that I would no longer be the cause of the pain…I was slowly drifting away…to a place where I could never hurt anyone again…
