The school bell buzzed loudly as I walked into my homeroom class, taught by Mrs. Walker. I hurried into my seat, not even glancing at my teacher. I brushed the hair out of my face and finally looked up. But Mrs. Walker didn’t look like the Mrs. Walker I knew. Her eyes were shut, and her skin was really pale. It used to be pale anyway, but this kind of pale was different. This pale looked as if all her blood had been taken out of her body-a corpse kind of pale. I was scared for a moment, thinking she was dead, but then she started moving. She moved around the room gracefully, and she had gotten rid of her little limp. It looked as if she was lightly sniffing the air, trying to make it seem like she wasn’t. I wondered what was wrong with her. She opened her eyes when she was ‘sniffing’ me. They were blood red. Not a crying red, but the iris was actually red. Everyone in the room that had read the book Twilight started screaming. I stayed calm. Mrs. Walker could hardly be a vampire….right?
I didn’t have time to think this over before she started attacking students. Yes, my teacher attacked students. She started with Molly. Molly was the goody good in our class. She skipped up to Mrs. Walker and started talking. “Mrs. Walker, are you al—?” She didn’t have time to finish. Mrs. Walker then jumped onto the screaming Molly and bit her neck. Blood poured out of the gash, and Molly started screaming louder. If I listened hard enough, I could hear people in other classes screaming too. Ah, so this isn’t exclusive, I thought. Mrs. Walker sucked on the wound while Molly started going pale. Then, at the last minute, she stepped away. Molly wobbled, and then collapsed onto the floor. Mrs. Walker proceeded to do this to more unexpecting students, but I watched Molly. Molly’s wound healed in 5 minutes, and Molly opened her eyes. They were blood red. But, instead of attacking her fellow classmates, she followed Mrs. Walker like a puppy dog. I’m not sure, but I think biting someone and turning them into a vampire makes you have mind control or something over them, because other vampire students started following Mrs. Walker, too. Mrs. Walker then glided over to me, and I ran out the door, screaming for my life.
Vampires started chasing me from every doorway of the school. I had never been a runner, but it seems like if you're running for your life, you get a sudden boost of energy. So, I ran outside of the school, looking for somewhere safe to go. I saw my house, but assumed no one would be there that could help. I headed towards the dark woods in the corner of town. There were people (scratch that, vampires) blocking my way that hadn't realized me yet. I pretended to be one of them, closing my eyes and skipping as gracefully as I could towards the woods. I tried not to get to close, because they would smell my blood. I made it until I was about 15 feet away from the entrance to the woods. That was when a running vampire bumped into me on accident (I think it was on purpose, but whatever.) Other vampires gathered around, making sure we weren't hurt (even though vampires can't get hurt.) One leaned down next to me and said, "Are you alright?" His voice was perfect. I knew I could never master a perfect voice, and I couldn't afford to touch one of them, so I opened my eyes and, again, ran for my (human) life.
They caught up with me in the woods. I was hiding behind a bush, and almost 10 vamps had already passed my spot. Then, one perfect boy stood still and sniffed the air. Crap, I thought. He can smell me. He did smell me. His red eyes turned toward my itchy bush hiding spot. He pounced lightly over to me, and then smiled wickedly. I noticed his pointed teeth, and all of my insides (and my outsides) started trembling. Is he gonna bite me? I thought. He nodded slowly, as if he could read my thoughts. Then he opened his mouth wide, and reached his neck slowly towards my neck. "Are you ready?" he asked softly. "NOO-" I started shouting, but I was too late. His teeth bit down hard, and I immeaditatley passed out on the forest floor, all alone on the crusty leaves.
