(A/N: First story! I'm definately excited to see how everyone likes it! That being said, I'm going to warn you that this story contains slash and possibly some lemon in further chapters. If you don't like slash, or are homophobic, I advise that you don't read this. If, however, you do read this, despite my warning, I'm asking you not to send me any frustrated flames. Please. I asked you nicely.)

"H-how did you-" Daisuke cut himself off, taking a step back from the dark stranger who lingered in his doorway, staring at him with a stone face, and cold onyx eyes.
"The door was open." The stranger's tone sounded like shattering glass and utter chaos. It made chills go up his spine, as he tried to look into his disturbing stare.
He stood tall and lean, clothed in black garb, a thick book attached to a belt on his side along with a glass lantern, illuminating an eerie platnum blue light. He blinked in numb realization, his display of mild expression making him seem more human. He took a step forward.
"Strange, I thought I heard a maiden's call. But you..." He continued walking, making Daisuke back up against the wall. Stopping casually in a dismissive gesture, he continued.
"You're a boy, aren't you."
"Y-yes..." Daisuke replied, a bit confused.
"Who are you?" He demanded in return, voice raised in fear. There was something about this guy. He just didn't seem human.
"My name is Ryuu." The dark stranger responded, turning to grab the thick book from his side. Daisuke's hazel eyes never left Ryuu.
"Ryuu..." Daisuke echoed the name slowly, pronouncing it thouroughly.
"What... What are you doing here?"
"You tell me." Ryuu remarked, his increasing humanity calming Daisuke down. He left his book to his side.
"You're the one who drew me here." He finished, his face still into a neutral expression.
"'Drew you here'?" Daisuke echoed.
"It suprises me..." Ryuu ignored the boy's confusion, tilting his head slightly to the side.
"Usually I get drawn to people who want something for themselves... but you're special; doing this entirely for someone else." Ryuu stepped forward again, handing Daisuke the book.
"It's admirable, really."
That comment felt strange in Daisuke's stomach, he opened the book to see a name on each page.
"What... what is this?" Daisuke asked.
"Records... I need to document people I trade with."
"'Trade'?" At that moment, everything began to pile together. It was prepostorous, but... Could it be.
"Ryuu... Are you... The Devil?"
Ryuu looked thoughtful, his eyes glancing up at the ceiling. After a moment, he shrugged.
"'Devil'?" He echoed, "Something like that... I guess you could say that I'm a devil."
Ryuu stared at Daisuke expectantly.
"So, do we have a deal?"

(A/N: I thought I'd throw in a little sneak peak of further in the story before I begin. I know it was a little long, but I felt the need to include it. You'll see the exact same thing in the story later. R&R is appreciated, but not nessisary. I hope to release the first chapter soon!)
