Morning light filtered through the tiny, dust-coated window. Words etched into the dirt, 'Sophie', and 'iH', which was clearly written backwards to state 'Hi' from outside of the ancient shack. Shadows quivered in the corner, shapes of bone-like hands, long fingers bare of skin.

Footsteps echoed through the hall. A young man walked in, yawning.

Suddenly, out jumped a dark figure, bone-white limbs reaching for him.

"Ack!" he screeched, jumped back into the wall. He fell down, unconscious.

The hood flew back, revealing a young girl with golden hair. Her bright green eyes sparkled, a drop of sweat falling from her face as a mortified lucario dragged her master into the hall.

"Heh..." Sophie scratched her head, slamming the door closed and digging through her dresser. She took out a red, white, and blue sweater, a white t-shirt, and a pair of jeans.

Changing from her dark cloak in an instant, she reached into the dresser again. This time, she pulled out a small, hand-crafted wooden box. Inside, a crystal necklace lay on a velvet pad. She grabbed it and carefully fastened it onto her neck, looking into it shiny depths.

A tear rushed down her face as she remembered the day she had been given the necklace...

Her mother lay in the hard, wood coffin, no longer moving. A tall man, taller than Eon, kneeled down next to Sophie, a box in hand. He handed it to her, opening it.

"It was your mother's," he said, tears falling.

"Daddy... thank you," she had said, hugging him.

That was long ago, before he had abandoned her and Eon. Not only had he left a ten-year-old to care for his young sister, but he hadn't contacted them for the last four years. Sophie had missed him, but hated him deeply.

Looking out the window, she gasped. An army was heading into the valley, one human at lead. His dark hair and bearded face told her he was trouble. Strangly, she smiled, dashing downstairs.

A large, orange and black canine lay on the floor, occasionally blowing hot fire into a metal stove. He stirred as Sophie rushed down the stairs, head risen.

"C'mon, arcanine!" she said, grabbing a halter and attaching it to her companion. He jumped up, hitting his head on the ceiling. He ducked and raced out the door, the girl racing behind.

Outside, a latios jumped out of the bushes. Sophie and said pokemon smiled at the same time, rushed into battle.

Arcanine jumped down into the valley, head high. He blazed in, fire breaking out in his path.

((I'm finish later, Mom is rushing me.))
