“I-I need to see them!”
It was no mistake that you were going crazy, to you or to the brownie standing right in front of you with a hurt expression. People were also giving you a mixture of concern, indifference, curiosity, and ignorance all in a single look, but that was only the people on Destiny Islands who had the fortune of having nothing – but that particular stare or glance – to do with you.
For the people who knew you were used to your crazy antics, that is, until they saw your tears. They knew well enough not to get involved when you cried. Disastrous things were said to happen, and people were said to disappear… ‘nuff said.
“I have to see them! I don’t want to see you, I want to see him!” you shouted, catching the attention of more innocent bystanders who made move to see what they could do to help. Until, that is, you shot them dead with your death glare.
The lovable brownie just stood staring at you; sadness drenched and evident in every corner of his eyes and every visible part of his face. “Please,” he begged, “aren’t I enough?”
You didn’t have the patience to do this right now, nor were you in the right state of mind for his, sorrow filled and melancholy, begging eyes. You wanted to see him, and you wanted to see him now! Even if you had to unlock this brownie’s heart until he came out.
“Sora, I don’t have the patience for this right now. I want to see them!” you voiced, growing rage behind every syllable, but he didn’t care, he wanted you all to himself.
It had been months since Sora and Riki had come back, Kairi got her memories back, and you got your life back. Sara became a hero, Riku became a God amongst the female population, Kairi got her family once again, but you… you LOST something, something precious… someone precious… Roxas…
You had been standing there when Sora had awoken and were there when the Door to Light had opened for the three of you, Riku, Sora, and yourself. At first, you were happy to be back with the people who had accepted you, but you longed for the person who had taken your heart within Sora.
“Please, Yuuki! I love you! Don’t do this! Please be with me always, always!” He pleaded for the thousandth time, but it was enough. He never was for you. You loved him too, but not enough.
‘Roxas…’
‘Where are you right now?’
‘Roxas? If you can hear me…’
“I love you,… Roxas! I really, really do love you!”
~*~*~*~*~
“…love you!”
This voice… the melodious voice was back.
Ever since he got his ‘self’ back, he heard this voice everyday. He loved this voice. He knew that his ‘self’ loved this voice too.
No. No, it wasn’t a new voice.
He knew it from before, and as you painfully confessed her feelings, Roxas was sure he had heard your voice. He loved the way you said his name, the way you said you loved him, the way you sung to him, the way you comforted him, and the way your lips had felt against his; not Sora’s. He knew you voice, long before Sora had reawakened.
Through Sora’s eyes, he could see you. You were crying though, but you were mad also, you were sad, so sad. Your eyes screamed with grief and so much sadness. To him, it looked like you could die of sadness.
‘She doesn’t love me,’ thought Sora. His voice echoing in the empty abyss that Roxas was occupying. ‘Why doesn’t she love me?’
“I really do love you, Roxas.” You repeated, as the rage in Sora’s heart began to rise.
Being inside of Sora for the amount of time he already had, Roxas could tell that Sora was madly in love with you, that he cherished every moment with you, that he wanted you all to himself, and that to him, you belonged to no one else but him. Roxas understood that, but why was it that he felt this all too unfair?
He had fought Sora for a heart, he had done anything and everything possible to get his own heart, but in the end, the good guy won. The good guy always wins, but why didn’t he win the affection of the damsel in distress? Why had Roxas, the darker half, won the affection of the fairest maiden in the land? Why had the purest of hearts fallen for the darkest of people?
‘Why is it that she loves Roxas?!’ rang Sora’s voice, now anger and venom dripping from every word.
“Roxas, I know you can hear me. Please,” you begged, “come back.”
“I… I don’t know how…” answered Roxas, letting his voice fade in the white abyss that was his home.
“I don’t want you to hurt any more …”
Roxas wanted nothing more than for you to hold him in your warm arms, for you to kiss him and tell him you love him, to touch you and cradle you in his arms, to take in your orchid fragrance, to touch your silk-like hair, and to love you… always.
He wanted you to be his and only his. He wanted to yours and only yours. He wanted to spend all day with you, loving you, hugging you, kissing you until time was up.
~*~*~*~*~
Sora didn’t know what to do.
‘You belong to me!’ he wanted to tell you. ‘Please, just forget Roxas.’ He wanted to plead. ‘Its me you love!’ he wanted to convince you. But nothing seemed right.
How could you love Roxas more than him? Roxas was him, he was Roxas. They were each other and they loved you. That’s what Sora had tried to convince himself at one point. That Roxas and Sora were the same person, but no.
Sora was a hero, the Child of Light, chosen by the keyblade to save the Realm of Light, to protect the Worlds and the order in which they ran. Sora was a bright and cheerful person, loved and lovable, strong and reliable. He had physical and mental strength beyond compare. Sora was special and an over all Hero.
Roxas was the opposite of all that Sora was. He was born from darkness, only chosen by the keyblade because he was part of Sora. He worked for an Organization planning to take their rightful hearts. He was a dark and mysterious person, confused and unknowing, although he was strong, he had yet to rely on others. Roxas was no Hero, he was the enemy.
How, just how had you fallen in love with the wrong person? Sora could not understand that. Even though he had promised his undying love to you, you had already promised yours off to some one else… a Nobody.
“You don’t belong with him!” he told you, the rage and anger burning through his cheerful cheekiness. “He was the bad guy! He was Darkness! He had no heart!”
Enough with the pain, enough with the sadness, enough of Roxas! He doesn’t want to ever hear that name again.
If he knew that unlocking his heart would create his enemy for Love, he would have made sure you would have never met his Nobody. He would have made sure you stayed with Kairi and far away from Roxas. To protect you from this hurt. To save your love for him and only him. To keep you with him always. Not with Roxas.
Sora didn’t care anymore. Screw destiny, screw sadness, and screw Roxas! You were his first, dammit! Roxas shouldn’t get you!
As his lips crashed fiercely onto yours, he knew that you would hate him forever, but if only he could show you how much he longed for you, maybe you would understand and return the feelings. Maybe he could save you from the pain, maybe he could save you from the darkness overcoming your pure heart. Maybe, just maybe… you could forget Roxas.
~*~*~*~*~
Roxas has eyes for only you. You are everything to him; the proof of his existence, the center of his affections, the love that you have for him only comforts him to an extreme extent. Roxas wants to be your everything and everything you’ll ever need. He needs nothing more than your everlasting affection and your beautiful voice saying ‘I love you’
every morning. He wants to grow old with you, to have a family, to love you until death do you part, until the end of time.
Sora wants nothing more than for history to repeat itself, to make sure you would have never met Roxas, and to make sure you would still love him. If that would happen, he would love you always and would have been the happiest man alive to have your affection. He wishes Roxas would disappear from your heart and Sora would enter it, never leaving it until the last breath you took. He wants a future with you and only you, he wants to be the one to save you.
You will fight. You will fight for him if it’s the last thing you ever do. You love Sora, but you love Roxas to the point of tears. Your undying love for Roxas only increases when you remember the way he said your name, the way he touched your face, the was he kissed you, the way he loved you for you and no one else. Sora loves you, and you know it. You return his feelings if only slightly, but your love for Roxas grows stronger within your heart. Always has, always will.
