'cause nothing else is real in the La La Land appeal

“Evelyn I have something to tell you and I think you are wise enough to handle the truth this time.” Evelyn mother Rose said to Evelyn one sunny afternoon in their kitchen. Evelyn looked over of her Death Note Volume 8 manga she had been reading to her mother, who showed panic on her face.

Evelyn made movement to stand up to see if her mother was all right who had stopped her for doing so. “No dear, it will be best if you stay seated.” Rose said. She took a seat in front of Evelyn who had put down her beloved manga. Evelyn was always the calm and collected type of girl.

“You’re now 16 years old and I can't keep the truth from you any more. Your father would want you to know.” Rose said sadly. Evelyn thought suddenly that this had to deal with her father who had died when she was only five years old. She didn't mourn over his death for very long because she felt that she didn't really know him that well, but her mother been depressed for a really long time.

“Honey, I tried to tell you earlier, but was too immature. Your heart wouldn't handle it.” Rose said stalling for who know what would happen. “Tell me what? What’s wrong, mom?” Evelyn asked.

“I'm just going to go out and tell this to you. I'm not your real mother and Scott is not your real father. We adopted you when you were just two years old.” Rose said. Everything went silent for a few moments. Evelyn eyes widen at the news that her foster mother had given her. Her heart pound faster than normal and all the color from her body went gone.

This person is not her real mother. It is hard to believe. “Why. Didn’t you tell me this a while ago?” Evelyn found herself saying weakly. This is the reason why Rose had going in panic attacks a while ago. She was trying to tell her this news. “Like I said, you’re too young.” Rose said. “Bull Shit! Of all my life now I had been living a lie! Had you known what its like to feel like to be kelp in the dark?” Evelyn shouted emotionally.

Rose leaned back in her seat. “Now Evelyn dear calm down please.” Rose plea. “Calm down! I bet you my name is not even Evelyn!” Evelyn screeched. She grabbed her manga from the table and stood from her hair. The chair falls backward with a loud cling onto the floor.

“I had never been this disappointed in my life, foster mom.” She cried, leaping to the direction of her room. Her nice, safety of her room. She felt wet liquid fallen from her once bright blue eyes. She slammed her door closed now when she heard Rose-pleading voice calling her name repeatedly.

She threw her body upon her twin bed helplessly thrown her manga against her wall. The Death Note manga slid down from the wall and turned a few pages. She covered her head with her arms and buried her face into her Naruto pillow for comfort.

Did she over did things? She wonders who is her real mother and father are. She never felt not belonging for a while; these feelings were such worse. She never believe that she had been lived a lie for 16 years.

“I-I wanted to die...I don't want to live any more knowing that I had being living a lie.” Evelyn cried into her pillow. Something green glowing sparkled in the corner of her room. She pick up her head to see where the light is coming from.

Her Death Note manga is glowing bright green. Evelyn sits up on her bed, wipes a few tears from her red puffy eyes, and walked towards the manga. "Why is this glowing?” Evelyn asked herself weakly picking the book up carefully. She heard Rose knocked on her door for a few seconds and Evelyn found herself wishing to get away or disappear from this spot. A suddenly wave of sleep came upon her and she barely could hold her eyes open. She felt herself drawn to the book and then the last thing she remember the book stopped glowing. She closed her eyes un willing.
