Just Another Who?

Just Another Who? - Chapter One — Chapter 1

A fanfiction about father and son in Movies » Fiction

The quite sunshine shimmered through the large window settled on an empty wall on the far side of Jojo's room. Underneth it was a small bed, where he slept. Even though he was already up and out of bed, he was still half asleep. He trudged through the papers of musical notes and instraments he had piled up to the bathroom he had, and took a hot, steamy shower.

Once he was finished getting his fur into a resonable position he started to work out on how he would find his backpack in such a mess. True, he didn't enjoy waking up early - but he did so that he could get ready without being rushed out the door by his younger sisters... all ninety-six of them. Finally finding his black backpack underneth stacks of lyrics he printed out he searched through the contents to pull out a small, black composition notebook in which he kept his 'notes'. On the corners and edges of the pages he had drawn different notes and labeled them clearly, he was always working on his music. It was well known that he had always loved it and forever will. He shoved the notebook back into the overstuffed backpack and zipped it shut before stacking up his papers again. By the time he had finished his younger sisters were already chattering outside his door noisly, probaly deciding on what they should wear today or what makeup they'll use. Jojo shuddered at the though of them trying to give him a makeover.

As he turned off the lights of his room and opened the door, the backpack clutched in his furry grasp, he could see his sisters marching out of their huge room in a straight line, talking and chattering escitiedly. They all waved or said hi to him, and he answered with a small smile. Even though his sisters were complete pains sometimes, they were his sisters.

Being the last one to the kitchen he trudged down the stairs with a heavy sigh, almost falling over his own feet a few times. He reached the bottom steps and jumped down, walking over to the kitchen table. He sat down on his chair, a plate, fork and butterknife spread out before him. The seats were always moving, each child getting to spend twelve seconds with their father and mother. He sighed misrably as he took some green eggs and ham from a nearby platter and began to nibble at them profoundly. Only three more of his sisters were in line before it was his turn to see his parents. He sighed again; 'wonderful...' Jojo thought to himself as he turned the chair around so the back of it faced his parents when he got there, he had a small piece of ham in his furry hand as he nibbled on it and finished it only seconds before his parents pulled his chair around. "'Heya Jojo! Whats the word, homie?" His father made a desperate attemp to speak his 'lingo'. Jojo looked side to side with a distinguished mumble of disinterest. His father's heavy grin seemed to fall flat a moment. Jojo had a secret that nobody but himself knew - he was horribly terrified of letting people down, espcielly his father. He tryed to smile slightly, but just as he did so his twelve seconds were up and his chair shifted to the other side of the table. He looked at the contents spread before him: Who-Cakes, Milk, Orange Juice, and Toast. He grabbed a fork-full of who-cake just before his chair shifted. He shoved it into his mouth and then followed it with a deep sip of milk. His sister, Heidi looked at him with utter disgust. "Who-Cakes, Green Eggs, Green Ham, Milk and toast?!" She exclaimed as he shoved a piece of toast into his mouth, staring at her with an innocent look in his eyes. "Your such a pig!" She teased only half-jokingly. "Bite me." He muttered playfully as he took another sip-ful of orange juice. She rolled her eyes and stuck her tongue out at him for a breif moment. He shook his head with a dis-tasteful snort for a moment until he finished his breakfast and jumped off the chair just as everyone began to stand up to leave. "Don't forget your lunches!" Sally called after her ninety seven children as they filed out, grabbing brown paper sacks as they did. And as usual, Jojo was the last one out.

Jojo sighed, his sisters always took the bus - but he preferred to walk. it gave him a chance to listen to his iWho and just let his mind wander in his daydreams. Just as his favorite song started to play the school came into view, he sighed. Taking out his earphones he shoved the iWho in his pocket and marched up to the front doors, waiting for them to open as the busses pulled up. He could see his sisters gossping with their friends and themselves within the many busses that picked up the Kids of WhoVille. He sighed as he reconized Greg, the biggest bully in school. Last year he 'accidentally' fell off his bike and ended up with a concusion. Jojo smirked, he had been the one to push him off - but luckily, no one had seen him do it and everyone blamed Greg for his own fall. Within the school he heard a loud bell ring and at the very same time the bus doors opened as the kids charged out to get inside, he scurried underneth feet and througha  forest of legs as he finally made it by his homeroom. Room 121, Math. He grunted - he always hated Math. Just as he was about to walk inside the room he heard a loud laugh from the other side of the lockers. Standing on his tip-toes with his head barly peeking over the other side he spotted two female who's laughing, one had the same fur pattern as he did - only her stripes were blue instead of grey, and she had blue eyes. The other one was only a bit taller, she was a black color with grey and brown splotches covering her, he found it funny how the inter-crossed over each eye, making a mask-like formation she had longer, shaggy fur that it hung over her hands and feet like sleeves of a shirt or pantsleg, making her look a bit fiesty or wild - tempermental, almost. They were laughing about something the taller who had written on a piece of notebook paper, but what it said - Jojo didn't know. All he knew is that there was something different about these whos'...

In Math Class Jojo doodled at the edge of his paper boredly, beside him sat the shorter Who that he had seen in the Hallways laughing. In the very back of that same row was the taller one with the splotches of grey and brown, she was busy making paper airplanes and throwing them at the back of the teachers' head when she wasen't looking, then laughing when she turned back around to face the chalkboard. Their teacher was a scrawny purple and pink female who with long hair and deep green eyes - Jojo didn't like her much on the fact she gave homework the very first day of school. He saw the Black and Blue who look up at the clock just as it rang, she stood up to get her books and shove them in her backpack. The splotched who quickly ran over to her, complaining on how boring class was. Jojo shoved his doodles into his backpack before turning around, only to have a large notebook full of papers fall on his foot, wincing slightly he picked it up and read the name: Annie. The black and blue who smiled slightly. "Sorry." She took the notebook from his hand and shoved it in her bag, he nodded slightly and headed off to his next class: Science.

At lunch Jojo sat at a table in the back, dumping the contents of his paper sack onto the table. A PB&J sandwhich, cookies and a carton of milk. He sighed lightly until a loud-ish voice broke into his thoughts. "Anyone sitting here?" He looked up to reconize the splotched who, holding a tray with a cheeseburger and chocolate chip cookie. Beside her was the blue and black who from before. He shook his head quickly and the two sat down. It was akwardly silent for a moment before the blue and black who spoke. "So... whats your name?" She tryed to induce conversation with Jojo. He looked around, eyes darting side to side habitually for a moment. "Jojo." He half whispered, half spoke. "Hi, Jojo. My name is Annie. And that's Danni" She pointed to the splotched who, apprently Danni - who was flipping through her notebook pages as she copyed Annie's homework. Danni grunted in greeting. "It'll take a while for her to warm up to you." Annie looked from Danni to Jojo. "But shes nice, if you know her well enough." From the splotched who's tall figure, he could probaly guess she didn't have many problems with bullies. He nodded silently as he bit into his sandwhich quitely. The three continued to eat until the bell rang. Danni shoved some pencils and books into ehr bag before throwing the tray out, Jojo threw his backpack onto his back and walked forward, Annie and Danni by either of his sides. Even though the three just met, it seemed from the way they were walking that they'd been friends forever. Annie and Jojo feverishly discussed the newest ACDC CD - Black Ice, ask Danni butted in with jokes every now and then. Although she wasen't directly speaking with Jojo, she seemed friendly enough." Suddenly Jojo felt something big and heavy barrel him over and into the lockers. Danni squeaked in surprise slightly, Annie blinked - dazed. Jojo looked up to see Greg. "Oh, hey emo. Remember when you pushed me off that bike last year? Well, your 'gonna pay." He growled at Jojo and lifted a fist to punch him, Jojo braced himself - flinching backwards. But the hit never came, when he dared to open an eye he saw that Danni had grasped Greg's hand with her own and was no squeezing it so hard it was blue with lack of oxygen. Greg yelped in surprise and managed to twist out of her grip, scampering away as he called over his shoulder: "Next time, McDodd, Next time!". Jojo blinked as his tiny frame slumped to the floor. Danni watched him run off and he could hear her murmer, "Bastard..." under her breath. Jojo stood up, brushing his fur clean of dust. "Thanks" He commented as the three walked over to go to Gym.
