Chapter oneHeartBeat
I sighed as I ran my fingers around the long metal object between my fingers, weighing it in my palms. I looked out from the window just as the sun started on the horizon. My brownish black locks fell into my eyes, making me sigh louder as I moved them from my face.
My cell started to chime as I put the metal down. I turned my head. My Blackberry was laid lightly on my pillow. Bubblywas chiming quite loudly for my ever-sensitive werewolf ears. I sighed as I walked over and picked it up.
The picture of the three of my best friends and I flashed on the screen. It was taken at least three months ago, when Leah, Alice, Rosalie, and I went clubbing in Seattle.
Alice and I were in the middle, since we were the smallest, 'Peace' signs on both our fingers, smirks on our faces. Next Came Rosalie and Leah, both had their arms crossed over their chests, grinning crazily.
Alice was short, spiky haired, and had the russet skin to match. Alice was the shortest werewolf in the whole pack, but she had twice the temper then Paul and Sam built together. Her black eyes always showed happiness. She was Quil's older sister at seven-teen.
Rosalie was different. Unlike Alice, Leah, and I, who were born and raised in La Push, she was born in Yew York. She's halfQuileute and half American. She's blond, with black eyes. Her skin is tan, but not as dark as Leah's or Alice's.
Leah was.... tall. She had her hair in a Pixie Cut. Some of her bangs went into her black eyes. She was kind, but sometimes bossy, but that's why we love her. She's Seth's older sister.
Then, there's me. I'm a whole lot different. I'm not as tall as Rosalie, but not as short as Alice. I have waist length brown hair with natural Black streaks. My eyes were the strangest shade of Silver. I was pale for a Quileute, not very tan, but not very white either. I was Sam's younger sister, and second in command of the pack.
I flipped open my cell and put it to my ear. "Hello?" I asked calmly.
"Belly-Bells!" I heard Rosalie, Alice, and Leah chime. I sighed, they knew I hated to be called that.
"What?" I asked, flipping though one of the heavy books that claimed some space on my oak desk.
"We want to go down to the Mall in Forks!" Leah said happily. I fought the urge to roll my eyes.
"I don't know. I have to change....Fine. Meet me outside in ten." I said, before haning up my phone. I placed my book mark on my page and hopped off my bed, before shuffling my feet toward my closet.
My fingers grabbed the first item of clothing they touched.
A plaid red and black skirt, knee high white socks, my black sweater, and my high-tops. I changed and brushed though my hair a few times, trying to control the side bangs, that always seem to fall into my right eye.
I picked up my cell phone and i-pod, putting them into my sweater pockets before I heard Alice's Camaro pull up into the driveway. I ran out of my room, kissed the top of Sam's head, and dashed out the door yelling, "I'mgoingtothemallwithAlice,Rosalie,Leahbebacksoon!"
