Prolouge — Chapter 1

A fanfiction about original fiction, one night stand, marriage in Misc » other stuff

I never thought that I would ever find love in this lifetime. For one thing, I was not the prettiest girl one has ever laid eyes upon, and second I was not considered a skinny girl, I was always the plump one. I had limp brown curls and bushy eyebrows. But then a boy came into my life and changed the way I thought of myself and changed my relationship with my family. His name was Sean Haines, and this is the story of my romance with Sean.

I remember the first time I met Sean. We were in high school together. He was a senior while I was just a shy freshman. We were both in Marching Band together; he was the Tuba section leader that most people could not stand while I was the Flute player that everyone said was the sweetest person they have ever met. I guess one could say that we were the least likely couple to ever hook up together.

We did not know each other very well during the marching season; we only knew each other’s names and what instrument we played. My friends did hang out with him when they were at lunch during Band Camp, but I never really had the chance to talk to him because he always spoke of subjects that I did not understand. We were never to the point of friends but just mere acquaintances. It was something that never really bothered me since I didn't really care for him.

When school started, the only time I saw him was only during band events such as concerts, competitions, practices, and football games. We never said one thing to each other during that time. It was probably best that we did not talk because he tended to say things that offended half of my friends.

After the marching season, I hardly saw Sean except during first period, which was symphonic band. After that, I never saw him. Sure, he talked to my best friend Bethany who was a year above me, but she was never around him a lot because she could not stand him. She only tolerated him because he was “just fun to argue with”. I never understood why she liked arguing with him, I think it was because she always won the arguments.

Soon Sean graduated from high school. He was heading off to a Christian University about 30 minutes from our small California town, while I stayed behind to continue my life without him. Like most of the seniors that graduated that year, I thought I was never going to see him again in my life. How very wrong was I.

A/N: This is my first fic that I've ever written, so be kind! I'll probably have a new chapter up by next Tuesday that'll have more details. This is just to set up the story.
