Prologue

In the hospital after the sasuke retrival mission;

“Huh?” “Where am I?” The blonde shinobi said in confusion.

Looking aound the room still dazed from just waking up, his mind was bombarded with thoughts of the previous battle that took place in the valley of the end. Glancing over towards his rooms window, he notices a silver gleam on his bedside table. Picking up the slashed konoha headband, putting his head down his eyes started to fill with tears at the thought of him losing a precious friend.

“Yo!” The white haired shinobi known as Hatake Kakashi said from his spot on the windowsill.

Hearing no response from Naruto, Kakashi continued.

“Look Naruto I know that you feel sorry for not being able to bring Sasuke back but you couldn't have stopped him from chasing after the thing he desires.”

“You're wrong Kakashi-sensei, If I hadn't pulled back my last attack I could've stopped him, in exchange for his life.” Naruto said with anger in his voice.

“I didn't want to kill him because I made a once in a lifetime promise to Sakura-chan, and I failed to keep my promise.” Looking down in sorrow.

“Well get better soon, I have a mission to do.” “See ya.” Kakashi said before he Shunshin-ed out of site.

A few Days later at the Hokage tower;

“NO, HE WILL NOT BE BANISHED FOR SOMETHING COMPLETELY OUT OF HIS CONTROL!!” Tsunade said with venom in her voice.

“Tsunade! You will watch your tone when speaking to us” Koharu said.

“It is in the interest of the village that the boy leave, Tsunade.” said the bandaged faced man.

“You would want him out of the way Danzou.” Tsunade said glaring at the man before turning away to speak. But she was cutoff by here other advisor.

“Tsunade you must see reason, he is a danger to this village.” Homura said.

“No I will not let you bani-” Koharu cut her off “It is already decided the council has deliberated the boy must leave the village.”

“I will not let this happen.” A new voice said.

“Jiraiya this is a private meeting.” Koharu said looking at the sannin.

“This is outrageous it goes against the Third's and the Fourth's wishes.” Jiraiya said to the group.“They would not stand for such a thing to happen.” He said while slamming his hand on Tsunades desk.

“Jiraiya! Know your place this doesn't involve you.” Homura said.

“The boy has until tomorrow to pack his things and leave this village.” Koharu said with a sense of finality.

“But...” Tsunade started but never finished. “This decision is final.” As the advisors started to leave they stopped once more when they heard the Toad sage speak. “Fine if the boy is no longer a shinobi of this village than I will resign and travel with the boy to keep him safe from Akatsuki.”

Immediately standing on her feet Tsunade said “I will step down from my position as Hokage so I too can travel with the boy.” “No Tsunade this village needs you in the time to come.” Jiraiya said looking at her determined eyes. “But...” Once again cutoff but this time by her advisors. “No Jiraiya you and Tsunade mustn't go with the boy.”

“DO YOU KNOW WHAT WILL HAPPEN IF AKATSUKI GETS THE KYUUBI OUT OF NARUTO!!! IT WILL BE THE END OF THE WORLD IF THEY GET THEIR HANDS ON THAT POWER.” Jiraiya said seething anger while staring at all of them before they could say anything he jumped out of the window to find Naruto.

At Ichiraku's;

Looking down at his ramen while twirling it with his chopsticks, Naruto was lost in his own thoughts. Completely oblivious to the world around him. “Hey your noodles are gonna get cold Naruto.” The owner of Ichiraku said. Not even looking up at one of the only people in Konoha who didn't look at him with hatred and anger, he just continued on lost in thought.

“Naruto,Naruto,NAARUUTOO!!!” Jiraiya yelled into his ears.

Clapping his hands over his ears looking at his sensei. “What the hell? Ero-sennin.” Naruto said staring at him.

“We are leaving Naruto, pack your things and come with me.” Said the Toad sage.

“Huh?” Said a dumbfounded Naruto “Where are we going Ero-sennin?” Ignoring his nickname Jiraiya said “The village has turned their backs on us and have ignored the wishes of the Third and Fourth Hokage, That is why we are leaving.” Jiraiya said in disgust at how the village is acting.

“Why have they turned their backs on us?” Naruto said utterly confused.

“They have banished you from here, and disrespected the wishes of my sensei and my student.” Jiraiya said looking at the Hokage monument. “Sensei, Minato sorry for the leaving the village, but I won't leave Naruto alone not again.” “Naruto pack your things so we can leave ASAP.”

“Can I go see Tsunade-baachan before we leave?” Naruto looked at Jiraiya whose eyes were fixed on the monument. “Yes, but get your things and meet me at the southern gate after you're done.” As naruto started to walkoff Jiraiya turned to say one last thing but decided against it. “No I will tell him when he is good and ready...” thought Jiraiya as he looked at the blonde than at the fourths stone face.

At the Hokage tower

Sitting at her desk with her head resting on her forearms thinking about how she can stop this situation from happening. The thought of the two most important people are about too leave her life was heavy. With a loud crash and broken glass Naruto appeared in front of the Godaime Hokage.

“Why am I being banished baa-chan? I didn't do anything wrong.” Naruto asked quizzically.

Tsunade immediately jumped up and embraced the young shinobi in strong hug. Kneeling down to cry into the childs shoulder she said in between sobs “Im(sob)so(sob)sor(sob)ry(sob).” Getting up to dry her tears she looked at Naruto with sorrow filled eyes. “Im sorry Naruto I can't do anything to change the councils decision Im soo sorry.”

“Baa-chan why ca-” He was cutoff when Tsunade said “Please understand that I can't do anything Naruto my hands are tied. If I could I would but I just can't I have no say in this matter. If I could I would leave here and travel the world with you and Jiraiya.” Before continuing she looked deeply into his eyes and said “Take care of that perverted sensei of yours.”

Looking at her his eyes started to fill with water before leaping out the window he said “Goodbye Baa-chan.” Giving her one last look Naruto took off to pack his things for the journey to come.

Leaping across rooftop to rooftop with a glimering stream of tears trailing he came to a stop in front of the academy and thought about his time spent there. After pondering his thoughts for awhile he continued his racing to his apartment. A few minutes later he arrived to his small apartment and started to pack his things when he felt he had enough for a few days he locked up and went to meet Jiraiya at the southern gate.

A few minutes later;

As he arrived at the gate Jiraiya was nowhere to be seen. So he sat and waited in the shade of one of the nearby trees. Jiraiya appeared in a poof of smoke in front of Naruto. Looking at the boy he said “Are you ready to leave?”

Standing up as if to answer the question without speaking the two ex-Konoha ninja walked out the gates to a future unknown.
