Too bad the break was going to be too short for a visit to London.

For Dustin this meant that he had to stay at PCA.

Spencer decided to pass the break by Dustin's side. This, so he hoped, was going to soothe Dustin's depressivity. Spencer had many stories to tell about little Carly, and Dustin was sure going to be interested in hearing them.

Freddie and Sam decided to stay at the PCA, as well. They had to talk Mrs. Benson into allowing for this. Yet, the poor lady had no clue about Freddie and Sam having become a couple. If she had known, she would have worried about Freddie becoming a dad so soon, and stuff like that, and hence refrained herself from allowing him to stay at the PCA over the short break. Hell, she would have fetched in person from Malibu, just to be sure that he wasn't abusing the occasion in order to make fancy stuff with Sam.

Coco, who had now got all the time in the world, had offered the kids a camping trip to Yosemite Park in Central California, far from the Pacific coast. Alas, Dustin was afraid as Coco had already lost one of his class mates during a camping trip. And, even worse, there were wild bears in Yosemite's, and Dustin was deadly afraid of bears. Alas, Addie and Chase gladly accepted Coco's offer. Walter, Josh, and Mindy were going to join them on the camping trip across the park.

As boring as it was probably going to be alone at the PCA, Dustin was looking froward to being able to webchat with England during times of the day that were usually impossible due to the time shift. Alas, he was a little bit sad because his mom didn't have a webchat set, as of yet. He wanted to earn a few bucks in order to buy her one, but since Logan had been expelled, there was nobody left to give him a job, was there? That was so not fair ...

Freddie plugged the web cam and the lap top into the supply socket.

Spencer, Dustin, and Sam had bathed as they had never bathed before. They wanted to look cool when they saw their friends and family in Covington.

"Hi Zoey!" Dustin smiled.

Zoey grinned. "Carly is for little girls and will be back any time ..."

Sam and Freddie waved at Zoey, too.

Spencer just waited in the background.

Carly returned from the toilet. "Hi! I'm back!"

Dustin wondered about Carly's outfit.

"Aw ... I've found something in a quarter called Soho ..." Carly sighed. "Unfortunately, it was too expensive. So Zoey offered to sew something in its likeness ..."

Zoey nodded solemnly.

Dustin beamed. "That's supercool!"

Sam and Freddie had decided not to hide it any longer from Carly.

Freddie grabbed Sam and pulled him closer.

Sam smooched the hell out of Freddie.

"Freddie? Sam?" Carly scartched her head. "I think there's a prroblem with the broadcast ..."

Zoey had also known Freddie and Sam as bickering frenemies. "That must be it ... Freddie and Sam kissing? That's so ..."

Dustin took over. "Carly, Zoey ... it's exactly that ... Sam has always wanted Freddie. She has taken online classes about media technology, just in order to impress Freddie, yet she really rocks at it, and she has turned even a greater expert than him!"

Sam beamed proudly.

Freddie nodded solemnly.

Carly was a bit disappointed because Spencer was hideng somewhat. "Spencer! Come here!"

Freddie and Sam grabbed Spencer and dragged him in front of the webcam.

Carly chuckled. "Cool!"

Spencer floundered, but it was all in vain.

Carly chuckled. "OK, Spencer ... look straight into the cam!"

Spencer grimaced.

"Zoey ..." Carly turned to her friend, "this is my elder brother, Spencer ..."

Zoey plastered a smiled. "Er ... hi, Spencer ..." she waved carefully into the cam. "I've seen him when you arrived at PCA for the first time ..." She whispered to Carly.

Carly nodded. "OK, Spencer, Zoey, is looking for a prom partner this summer, so she has got a reason to visit the PCA." Carly sighed. "Would you ..."

Spencer looked consternated. "What? I'm a teacher!"

"A cool teacher ..." Freddie and Sam remarked unison,

Dustin nodded. "Yeah, he is!"

Zoey was equally flabbergasted. "He's an adult!"

"Hey!" Carly chuckled. "You don't have to marry him ... just a bit of party fun!"

"I don't know ..." Zoey grumbled.

"I can do the firecracker dance!" Spencer grinned. "Watch!"

Too bad the webcam's sector was too small to be able to catch Spencer's attempted performance.

Zoey grinned.

"What's in it for me?" Spencer asked.

"Zoey may design cool things that fit to your sculptures." Carly grinned. "I think she has made some socks ..."

Zoey nodded. "That's true. I've figured that boys have trouble finding their own feet in the darkness, or so Nevel told me on the way to Milan ..." Zoey sighed. "So he helped me to come up with fanciful illuminated socks. Nevel still has got a pair of them ... I guess."

"And ties!" Carly beamed.

Spencer shrugged. He always wanted to wear fanciful designer outfit that is worthy of a pop artist like himself or the great Harry Joyner. Unfortunately he had to wait until Nevel was back from the vacations.

"So,what should we do if a bear comes after us?" Addie wondered.

"Chase will chase him away with his bushy head." Mindy replied.

Coco slurped the sauce from an open can of ravioli.

"Don't ravioli attract wild bears?" Josh twitched.

Walter chuckled. "Not if the can is bear-proof![[93]] ."

Suddenly, a wild bear broke through the shrubbery.

"Throw the can of ravioli away!" Chase commanded Coco.

"Hey! What do you want?" Coco asked the bear. "These are my ravioli!"

The bear growled and exposed his fangs.

"Forget it!" Coco bellowed. "I won't part with my ravioli!"

The bear wasn't all that much impressed by Coco's grimaces. He raised his paws and slashed vishiously at Coco, making her drop the can of ravioli.

Coco didn't give up.

Walter, Josh, and Mindy hid cowardly in their tents.

Chase and Addie took their guitars,

"Are they going to sing a song for the bear?" Josh asked Mindy.

Mindy shook her head. "Bears don't like country pop ..."

"They don't?" Josh twitched.

Addie tried to chase the bear with her guitar.

Chase followed her example, although he was usually one of the worst cowards of the whole school.

Alas, whatever they tried, there was no chance they could weven tickle the bear.

When the beast was distracted for a moment, Coco jumped and grabbed her can of ravioli once again.

The bear was now really angry and jumped on Coco, threattening to scratch her face and shred it into oblivion.

Suddenly, a dart came flying from behind another shrubbery. A man around forty showed up.

The bear floundered, gurgled, passed out, and slumped to the ground.

"Olé!" The man cried.

"Walter, Josh, and Mindy crawled out from their tents."

"I'm Gordy!from Ned's Declassified SSG" The man introduced himself.

"Thanks, Sir!" Walter sighed with relief.

"Usually, I'm a custodian at a school in La Mesa, named James K. Polk's." Gordy admitted. "And,trust me, there are some wild, ferocious animals down there ..."

Addie looked at Chase, making him glare back. "What sort of animals?" Addie needed to know.

"A weasle!" Gordy skreeched.

The others chuckled.

"Weasles may be very dangerous!" Gordy swore.

Chase shrugged. "Worse than raccoons?"

Gordy shivered. "No idea ... but if I see one, I'll hunt him down until the end of the world!"

"Gordy ..." Chase sighed. "If you need a change , come to my school, the Pacific Coast Academy! I don't trust our custodian, he's up to nothing good! Please protexct me from raccoons!"

Gordy shrugged. "Maybe I should."

"Mr. Bandel?" Josh wondered. "What's wrong with him?"

Addie shook her head. "Bandel is cranky, but he's just the night shift. We're talking about day-shift custodian, Seamas Finnegan!"

"Oh yeah, that's a jerk!" Josh admitted.

"He has once stolen a can of ravioli from me and opened it with a man-sized chainsaw!" Coco complained.

Suddenly, a megaphone boomed, apparently that of Dean Rivers.

"Attention! Attention!" The headmaster's voice was angrier than ever before. "This is Dean Rivers. Last night, a trophy has been stolen from my collection in the administration building. The culprit is requested to show up in my office by noon, or else ..."

Freddie, Sam, Dustin, and Spencer didn't want to here the rest.

"haven't they got those security cams everywhere in the admin quarters?" Spencer wondered.

Dustin nodded. "Those things are bigger than my head!"

The megaphone sounded again. "The security cam had been knocked out by some flying hammer."

"Oh my god!" Spencer sighed with despair. "I've made a sculpture of hammers, called the wheel of swinging hammers ..."

Freddie and Sam stared at Spencer.

"But it wasn't me!" Spencer sobbed. "I swear it!"

Spencer and the kids arrived in the headmaster's office and told them the story.

"Sorry, but I have to suspend you, until the whole thing has been clarified!!" Rivers thundered into Spencer's direction.

The kids sighed with disappointment.

Alas, Sam had an idea. "Freddie, haven't you attached Quinn's quinnocular to a webcam, and it runs 24/24? Maybe the webcam has recorded it ..."

Freddie and Dustin beamed. "OK, let's check it!"

Freddie plugged his laptop into the sicket. "OK, the quinnocular webcam ... It may penetrate the walls of the buildings here, most of them anyways ..."

Sam and Freddie fumbled with the electronics.

"Wait! This is the moment when ..." Dean Rivers remarked.

Sam set the replay to slow motion. "Here we have it, and the culprit is ..."

"Seamas Finnegan?" Dean Rivers screamed with consternation when he recognised the custodian.

The door went open. "Yes, it's me!" Finnegan wielded his giant chainsaw. "And now I'm going to saw the golf trophy into half! Or anyone whoi gets close to me!" He grinned satanically. "Carl, we've been together in the victorious golf team of the PCA ... 30 years ago. You were the captain, ecause your father was a rich snob. But I would have deserved it, not you!"

Dean Rivers screamed in agony when Finnegan swang the saw at the trophy.

Suddenly Addie and Chase stood in the door. Two guitar cases were swung at the head of Finnegan, knocking him out.

"Matthews! Singer!" Dean River sighed with relief.

"We've never trusted Finnegan!" Chase admitted.

"And we've found a new and better custodian ..." Addie smiled, sending Gordy into the office. "He's particularly skilled in hunting ferocious beasts on the campus."

Rivers smiled. "Squirrels? Skunks? We've got all sorts of them."

Gordy smiled and agreed fast with Dean Rivers on the terms of his future job at the PCA.
