"Guess what?" Dustin screamed. "I'm goin to Maui over the summer break!"

Freddie and Sam glared oddly.

"That's an island of the Hawaii archipel. More preceisely, dad knows the manager of Hotel Chambrolay over there!" Dustin explained. "I'm going to work as a candy vendor in the hotel, and Zoey as a life guard at the beach!"

Freddie's and Sam's eyes bugged out. They were going to spend yet another boring summer in Seattle, the city where summers weren't really summers and winters weren't really winters. They so wanted to spend their honeymoon on Hawaii once they were married, and there were still four years to go.

"I may take someone with me ... do you think that Carly ..." Dustin asked timidly.

"Are you joking?" Sam asked. "She'd die for vacations on Hawaii ... hula skirts, uculele music, the stars and the sandy beach ..." Sam swooned ecstatically.

Freddie moaned in a daze.

Some pupils did not yet know whom to take to the prom.

Dana was upset because she still had no confirmation from Logan.

"He needs to find a way to sneak away from his school for the prom night!" Michael told Dana, hoping vaguely to be able to comfort her.

"As he said ..." Chase confirmed while wrapping an arm around Addie's waist, making her swoon and purr.

Michael was still torn. "May I really come with Olivary?"

Chase shrugged helplessly. "Why not?"

"The bouncer may object ..." Dana remarked.

"Too true ..." Addie sighed. "Maris Bingham and Cranberry Sinclair, two girls who went to Rocky Road Middle School with me, have solved this by hiring two boys to play their respective dates."

"Oh yeah!" Michael beamed. "That's what we will do!"

Jenifer sighed. "Hey! You could hire me and Stacey!" Moze suggested. "For free, even!"

"Stacey Dillsen?" Michael shrieked with consternation. His stomach cramped. "But OK ... It seems that it has to be ..."

Josh screamed. "Mindy is really coming!" He smiled. "She may sneak away from her college over the weekend!"

Drake grumbled. "Did you have to invite the creature?"

Josh nodded. "Yes, because I love her and I'm going to marry Mindy this fall!" He cheered ecstatically.

Drake doubled over and puked on Josh's shoes. The worst-case scenario was coming true. Well, at least Lola was there for him ...

Josh grinned. "How may you dance at the prom while leading the prom band?" He scratched his chin.

Drake chuckled. "I am going to take turns with Jake Crendle!"

Josh shrugged. "OK, if you say so ..."

Drake was annoyed because Mindy and Josh were about marrying that fall, while he had to wait for Lola to turn eighteen.

The door opened, and Megan stumbled in, followed by Nevel. "Hi boobs!"

"Aw Megan!" Drake complained.

Megan grinned. "Over the prom weekend, I'm going to San Diego with Nevel."

Drake and Josh shuddered with disgust.

"We've got to practise for Joshieboob's wedding." Megan picked her oboe and played the Bridal Chorus from Richard Wagner's opera Lohengrin.

This hurt Drake Parker even more.

Megan grinned. "OK, Nevel, let's go! Juana Evangelista is waiting ..."

"Hey Megs!" Juanita stormed in. "I've thought we practise right here, so the boobs are going to listen!"

Nevel chuckled.

"Good idea!" Megan started playing again.

Nevel feigned hitting the keys of a piano.

Juana Evangelista sang like a diva.

Josh smiled and applauded.

Drake's ears heard. So he was going to have three nightmares of siblings in law: a creature of a science girl, a high-toned opera lass, and an obnoxious dork! What had he done to deserve that?

Michael knocked at Stacey's door and entered upon her permit.

"Michael!" Stacey grinned. "Prepare for the most exciting time of your life!"

"And my nightmare has just begun ..." Michael whimpered silently.

Stacey pointed at her gown. "See? It's made all of cotton swabs and white glue!"

Michael was so close to throwing up. And the worst thing: He only had got an old stick car at his disposal, whereas he had made his driver's license on an auto car. Where was this going to end up?

Spencer entered the dorm of Dustin and Freddie. "OK, Dustin, we have to go to LA International Airport and fetch the girls!"

Dustin was all excited to see his girlfriend and his sister again.

"OK!" Freddie and Sam promised to keep the stance here, back at the PCA.

Amber Tate rushed towards Dana's dorm. "Dana!" She was all excited.

Dana looked at Logan's little step-sister. "What's up?"

"Logan is coming!" She beamed. "He has bribed the security guards of his school and bought a new sports car right in time!"

Dana Cruz bounced around cheerfully. "I so knew that he was going to do it!"

Amber grabbed Dana by the wrists and dragged her out onto the campus court.

Logan's car rolled over campus. He had bought the most expensive tuxedo suit available. "Dana!" He cried.

Many girl wanted to jump on Logan's passenger's seat and kiss Logan, but he only wanted Dana.

Bullying her way through the mass of skreeching girls, punching and kicking left and right, Dana Cruz finally made it to the place where she belonged to: Right by Logan's side! "Why didn't yout tell me earlier?"

"I wasn't sure whether the bribery was going to work ..." Logan replied. "I might have disappointed you. And now it's a wonderful surprise for you, sweetie!"

"Aw Logan!" Dana kissed the hell out of Logan Reese.

"My feet aren't yet bruised?" Logan wondered.

"After the dance ..." Dana replied briefly. "Promised!"

"OK!" Logan smirked.

Spencer's craft halted at the Airport parking lot. There was still some time left, and they had heard about small delays for intercontinental flights to be expected.

Dustin jumped out of the car. He had bought a few small gifts for Carly, well, actually Sam had been the one to choose them, but that didn't matter all that much.

They walked into the attention hall. But what did they see? Chase Bartholomew Matthews and Addie Singer waiting, arm in arm. They were carrying their guitars.

"Chase!" Dustin skreeched.

Addie grinned. "Yeah, what does it look like?"

Dustin and Spencer glared around.

"Well!" Chase sighed. "We have come here in order to sing something for Zoey and Carly."

"With guitar backup!" Addie stammered. "That's why ..."

"OK ..." Spencer smiled.

Finally, the loud speakers announced that the flight from London Heathrow had just touched down, and the visitors were requested to wait in the appropriate zone.

Chase and Addie strummed their instruments and performed a song. [[103]]

:: Holding on,holding on, holding on Dustin Brooks!:: Holding on,holding on, holding on Dustin Brooks!::

In this moment, Carly and Zoey showed up.

Chase and Addie continued their wonderful performance.

:: Out on the water I can hear them call,:: I feel the power inside me.:: This is the moment I've been waiting for.:: It is here, now I'm breaking away.:: It is fortune that favours the brave.:: And his waiting heart.::

Carly stormed ahead and huggled the hell out of Dustin.

Zoey followed tightly behind them. She hugged Chase and Addie, and then she shook Spencer's hand. "Hi!"

"Nice to see you again ..." Spencer stammered timidly. He had never used to be like that.

:: This waiting Heart:: This waiting heart!:: Tonight, tonight Dustin goes:: He goes down to the river where Carly will be.:: This time, this time he knows.:: She will stay right beside him for everything comes:: To the waiting heart:: This waiting heart ...::

Zoey noticed the rings on Chase's and Addie's fingers. "Wow! You haven't wasted any time!"

Chase and Addie blushed with embarassment. "You're invited to our wedding!" They whispered unison.

Spencer and Zoey observed Carly and Dustin cuddling tenderly.

"Aw, how sweet!" Zoey smiled. "I could watch for hours."

"Erm ..." Spencer coughed. "Maybe they don't really want to be watched?"

Zoey sighed. "You're right. Maybe I've just been too overprotective, all the time?" She shrugged. "We have to hurry in order to get into our tuxedo and gown!"

Dustin remarked that he and Freddie were going to help Spencer into his tuxedo suit, while Sam and Carly should do the same for Zoey.

"We are already rigged and ready!" Chase demonstrated that he and Addie were already wearing suit and dress underneath their jackets.

Back on the campus, Nicole had already been waiting for Zoey. "Hey! What do you think about my gown and Nicolas Webber's suit? Aren't they cute? Tell us how cute they are!"

Zoey waved at Nicole. "No time! See you later!"

Lola grabbed Drake. "OK, we're going to eat some pasta at Pete's and Sam's"

"Great!" Drake smiled. "I'm so hungry ... but won't we be late? You have to speak the preamble, don't you?"

Lola smiled. "I want to be fashionably late, so someone else will do it for me!"

"As you wish, sweetheart!" Drake smiled. Jake Crendle was going to lead the band for the first hour, anyways.

"They are here!" Ashley Blake whispered into Vincent's ear.

"Who?" Vince wondered.

"Chase and Zoey ... payback time!" Ashley grinned.

"But who is my prom partner?" Vince wondered.

Ashley opened a closet door. "This is Shelby Marx[[104]] , a cousin of Lola Martinez."

Vincent shook Shelby's hand.

"She's not just going to cover you, but will also back you up when it comes to a melée fight!"

Shelby exposed her black belt.

"Wow! She's as hot as Lola, and her muscles are like steel!" Vincent swooned.

Ashley nodded. "I knew that you were so going to like her, but now don't waste the time!"

Michael and Stacey had crashed from one tree into the other, and they were now all scratched and bruised and limping out on the campus, supporting each other for the final yards to the prom hall. They were not sure whether the bouncers were going to let them pass. Fortunately, their tux and gown were still OK, and they just slipped in right behind Firewire and Lisa Zemo, and followed narrowly by Simon Nelson Cook and Evelyn Kwong.

Mary Ferry and Duane Ogilvy were dressed as fabulous beings.

"This is not Halloween!" the bouncer thundered at them and sent them away.

The party was about to start ...
