The vampires got Patrick.
The vampire cops got Pete. And Andy. And Joe.
Brendon and Spencer were part of the vampire clan lead by, none other than, William.
I think Brendon and Spencer got Ryan and Jon.
The other vampires burnt down the warehouse that Patrick and the rest of the guys used for their “vampire stuff”.
I've got nothing to help me here.
I've got nobody to help me here.
I'm alone.
I was told by Patrick, of course, to stay away from their big fight tonight, you know, trying to beat that huge vampire cult and I told him I didn't want to, I was interested in helping them and he knew that. That didn't change his decision. He didn't want me out there. I can't believe for once in my life I finally listened to what he told me to do.
You see, most of the time if he tells me to stay put while he, Pete, Andy, and Joe go out and kick some major vampire butt I stay here for about ten minutes, give them a little leeway time, then follow them. And I always ended up helping them. Tonight though, was completely different. Tonight when he told me to stay here he had much more concern towards my safety. He seemed like he cared a lot more than he ever had, like he thought that if I came I would get seriously hurt, even though I ever have before.
But after about a half an hour of being in that boring old warehouse Ryan showed up. He was frantic. He said that we had to get out, that the vampires were coming this way and were going to set the warehouse on fire. And of course Patrick kept his notebook of his observations and that recipe for whatever Pete drinks in a safe somewhere where I couldn't get to it when he leaves, so I couldn't even save ANYTHING.
“Come on! We have to get out of here!” Ryan said, grabbing my arm and dragging me towards the back door.
“What's the rush? Are they like a block away?” I asked.
“They could be, now come on!”
And so we ran outside and through the woods in the back of the building. If you run straight back then turn left at the stream you can follow it straight out into downtown and thats where Ryan said we were headed. Well, I was a faster runner than he when it came to running through the woods so he trailed behind pretty easily. Sooner than I could have ever expected he disappeared. I freaked out. I just kept running, I knew where we were headed and I hoped that he would show up sometime behind me; any other time I'd run through the woods with him if he disappeared he always caught up.
I kept running and when I eventually got downtown I knew he was somewhere back in the woods and I could hear something running back there but I knew it was more than one person, I could hear more than one pair of feet. So I did what any rational human being would do: run. I ran in the direction that the fight was going on, I knew where Patrick was going every time, and I knew he told me to stay away but this was the only place I could go.
Once I got there I wished I wouldn't have. I saw Patrick basically getting eaten by vampires and Pete getting knocked out. Then the cops showed up. Vampire cops. They took Pete, they chatted with William. The vampire cult were the “good guys”. What's going on here?!
“Rachel!” Ryan came running up to me with some blood on his shirt and his skin extremely pale.
“What happened to you?” I asked, grabbing his arms and looking him over.
“I had a bad fall in the woods, are you okay?” he asked.
“Yeah, I'm fine, but Patrick just got practically eaten alive and the cops are vampires and they're taking Pete and the other guys,” I rushed out in one breath. To add onto that, I was practically crying.
“It's okay, it'll be alright, we just need to get out of here,” Ryan said grabbing my arm and leading me farther down town, staying in the shadows away from the scene.
“Where are we going?” I asked.
“Here,” Ryan said, stopping right in front of an old house that looked inhabited.
“Whose house is this?” I asked.
“A friend's,” he replied and dragged me in. The only light there was was a TV on mute and a fake candle in the kitchen. He lead me through the house to the back porch.
“Ryan, why are we here?” I asked.
He walked up really close to me. He had me pinned against the railing.
“Ryan, seriously,” I said.
He didn't say anything to me for a minute but then he said “It'll all be okay,” then put one of his hands on my neck. Gosh, he's so cold.
“Ryan,” I was being more serious this time than I had been but you could still hear the concern in my voice.
And that's when it happened.
I knew I should have run when I had the chance.
He opened his mouth to expose 4 newly sharpened teeth.
No wonder he was bloody.
No wonder he was pale.
No wonder he was cold.
When he trailed behind the vampires got to him.
And now he's got me exactly where he wants me.
“Ryan, no,” I practically cried.
“It'll be fine,” he whispered close to my cheek. His breath was freezing.
“Ryan!” I yelled and attempted to shove him back but it was already too late. He bit me.
!!!
R&R and I shall love you forever. =D
