Dream/Memory

Blood spattered on her cheek, a loud thud sounded as Genesis hit the cold ground. Tears rolled down her cheek, falling on to his cold lips. She dropped her blade, letting it fade into the darkness in which it came. She bent down, placing at soft hand on Genesis face. His eyes followed her, until finally closing, forever.She kissed him softly on the lips, death cold embrace as she brushed against his dead lips. She got up and walked to the door. She hung her head.

“I’m sorry.”

After a minute or two the clicked, swinging open to reveal

Cerberus with nothing but a pair of boxers. Elxia could feel her cheeks burning as she looked at him. Cerberus stared at her completely unaware of her embarrassment.

            “Yes?” He said squinting from the Hall’s bright lights. She fiddled with her metallic hair before finally answering.

            “Um…Cid w-w-wants to see us …He says it’s important…”

She stuttered nervously. He raised an eyebrow at her response but said nothing more about.

            “Fine, wait here minute.” With that he reseeded back into the room, the door closing with a click. After it was safe, she sighed.

            Was it all way going to be this way when she talks to anyone of the opposite sex? A second later the door opened, Cerberus step out fully clothes. He was dressed in the same outfit as before, black leather with a blood red cape. The only different was that he wasn’t wearing the gold gauntlet. She stared at him. A chuckle escaped her.

            “What?” Cerberus asked quickly. She shook her head, smiling.

“Nothing, I was thinking about Twilight.”

Elxia was 90 percent sure she was still laughing as they walked into the control room. The whole time they had been walking Cerberus had been asking her about it, which only made even more hysterical. He sat down in the captain’s chair placing his feet up on the dash board .He fold his arms staring at the older blonde on the screen.Cid took a long drag off his cigarette,Elxia frowned. This wasn’t good.

“Took your sweet time,” He huffed.Elxia rolled her eyes standing behind Cerberus.

“Sorry it took awhile to get up a 3 o clock in the morning.”He grunted taking another dragged from his Cigarette. She folded her arms. “DIddn’t you say you’d stop smoking,pops?The older blonde Grimaced.

“Those tooth picks just don’t do it for me ,” He said shrugging.She scowled.

“Whatever, just don’t die on me, I already lost one Father.”Cid sighed, putting out the cigarette. She smiled devaintly.Gulit always works! Cerberus shifted, A Scowled sunk its way on his beautiful features.

“Cid, If you called me out here at 3 morning to talk about your smoking problem then I’m going back to bed.” Cid grunted again.

“Hmph, Right .How close our you guys to Midgar?” Elxia moved to the dashboard, pulling up the map up on the screen.

“We should reach it by dusk.” She said quickly. Her eyes narrowed her in mind lost in thought.

Dusk had a special place in her heart. It wasn’t just a time of day to her; it was her keyblade.All of power deprived from it. She was the crossroad from dawn and darkness, just like Riku was to Dusk to Dawn. It was the hardest passed of the three key blades .Anyone who controls it is the guard of kingdom hearts itself. In exchange that person life was filled with hardship and darkness. Just like a tightrope one step could push you from dark to light in heartbeat. On top of it you had to watch everyone you care about pass away, for you could not die unless a blade struck you. Since kingdom hearts is forever it will in return, always need it guard. It was a blessing and curse, one she would have to bare alone. No one could help her.Cid cleared his throat, snapping her back to reality. “Um... yeah a couple hours at this speed.Why?”

Cid Shifted suddenly uneasy.

            “Well as you probably guessed this ant’s a social call.” He said roughly. “Rufus’s little heartless problem was bigger than the turn coat let on. We need you guys now.” Elxia closed her eyes, she didn’t like where this conversation was going.

            “How?” Cerberus said Curiously Cid crossed his arms.A loud crash sounded from behind.Cid ignored it.

            “Elxia is going to transport you here.”Her Mako filled eyes narrowed .She balled her fist, knuckles turning white from the strain.

            “Cid….”She said warningly.He shook head,

            “I don’t like it either but it’s the only way.” She Shook her head.Anger and fear gripping her.

            “I’m not putting in danger for him, after all he caused?”She laughed bitterly. “He should be glad I’m coming at all.”

            “Transport us ? “Cerberus questioned.She ignored him keeping her glaze on the floor.

            “ Why the hell are we helping him and way?”She hissed.Cid gritted his teeth,his arms tensing.

            “You and I both know that any us would rather help Hojo any one from Shinra.”Cerberus grunted bitterly.

            “Speak for yourself….”He said in bitter disgust.She didn’t answer.Her head hurt just think about it.Cids’s eyes softened.

            “Elxia,Marline is down there and none us can go to look for unless you guys are here.”She sighed her anger turning into worry.

            “Fine,I’ll try .”Cid sighed, his eyes filled with relief .

            “Good, over and out .” The screen went dark. A chilling feeling crept in the room.

She was scared, and for good reason .She had only traveled through the dark twice since she landed on destiny island ,and both time she had almost lost the fragments of her heart.She closed her eyes lost in thought.

“Transport us?” Vincent asked.Elxia’s mako filled eyes snapped open, her body tense as she looked at him.She looked away,staring out into the emptiness of space.She gritted her teeth.

“I’m not human.” She blankly. “My appearance, or at least most of it is just a glamour.”Valentine’s Heart skiped a beat.A cold feeling crept down his spine.Valentine repeated her word slowly in his head.

“Not…human…?”She sighed, as if he had said something stupid.She foled her arms.

“Not completely anyway.” She turned facing him .With one gracefull move, streams of darkness surrounded her, swirling and twisting like anger sprits .A loud noise like chalkboards sounded until finally it stopped .The darkness dispersed, spreading out in different  directions then disappeared.

A chill ran down Valentine’s spine a he looked at the women he loved .The air thinned making it hard to think.Elxia chuckeled humerously at is reaction,the sound like cracking bones.

            “Weird right?”She said flatly .He didn’t respond,a fresh wave of guilt stabbed at his heart.He had tried so hard to protect her from himself that he failed to prevent this.

From far away, She looked completely normal. However, the closer you got the more you saw the horror able defects. She pushed her bangs out of her face. A large, deep red crack ran down her face starting from the bottom of her eye lid making her look like a broken doll.Dark liquid flowed with in it ,the color darker than wine.A red and black deformed  heart was torn into her left cheek and hands.

The worst  was the giant red scar in the middle of chest.It glisten with gory pride, ooking like dried blood.Drops of cherry colored blood drip from his lower lips where he bit it.He knew without guessing where it from.

            ‘This is….my fault.’ He thought grimly

Elxia grunted, not remotely surpise at his behavior.

            “Anyways,Im a half-heart.The like nobodies except small fragments of heart up to one half after their “death”….We have the same powers as them almost as if we were….”She paused, as if she was thinking of something of something else.After a minute she shook her head, dismissing it. “Nevermind,” She said quietly.She pulled the glamour back on, her appearance returning to normal.She walked to the door.

            “Get everthing you need for battle.I hope your not easily sick,”She said walking out the door “Its going to be a rough ride!”
