"Yea, quiet as a mushroom did I wait..."
-Emilie Autumn
Hello there. :D
I'm Neraida, Junior Chick in High School.
Now let's see. The first writings I ever did were song-like poems about my first crush(gag) and my love of storms in 1st and 2nd grade. In 3rd grade I wrote a story about space travelers and was
invited to this Young Authors' Convention because of it. In 4th grade I got a poem published in the 2002 Edition of the Anthology of Poetry by Young Americans. Really my writing isn't all that
good. I don't really like people I know to read my work, especially not outloud. So I don't really want to put it in my school's literary journal so I'll post things here instead!
I'm pretty quiet most of the time; one girl was even surprised that I spoke at all and we've had classes together since 8th grade. I just don't normally have anything to say and I'm a bit shy. But I don't like to think of it as shyness, just as more detached. Not that that's better, I just don't like people calling me shy. When I do talk, it's normally in some form of sarcasm or insult or joke so I probably come off as cold or rude but that's just how I am. It's hard not to talk sarcastically to people who aren't some of my best friends. But I'm actually pretty sweet most of the time.
I am also an Advanced Scuba Diver! I love shipwrecks; they're just so awesome! They're historical, beautiful and mysterious. Underwater, where basically the only sound is your rhythmic breathing, deep wrecks can be kind of eerie but it just adds to the fun. I also love dancing and acting. Weird that despite my quiet and 'shy' personality, I can actually put on a good strong performance. It's just too fun! And of course, I'm into reading. I really like the classics like Shakespere and Edgar Allan Poe. And although I like Poe, I prefer Southern Gothic literature to Classic Gothic. Southern Goth has more to do with the human mind which can be way scarier than 'Tell-Tale Heart' or 'Masque of the Red Death'. I'm in love with 'Yellow Wallpaper' by feminist Charlotte Perkins Gilman. The writing style is way interesting as it's written in journal form and the writing deteriotates as the character's mind does.

Stronger
It was your goal to be perfect, as well as emotionless. Though well on your way to becoming a great kunoichi, ridding yourself of emotions is easier said than done. Especially when certain people are forced into your life along with strange new emotions.
