Well, I'm not very new to Deviant and I'm not new to fanfiction, but I am new to Pokemon fanfiction, specifically Ash/Misty shipping. It's very easy to write about, which is why I love them as characters and as a couple. They are an exact match of me and my husband, so of course I ship for them! All of my one-shots will be centered around one central plot, for the most part, and are all based ten years after the anime. I've tried to make my fic fit into the anime and the games. So, as stated in the first episode of the latest Pokemon series, Best Wishes!, Ash is still ten years old. Then, in Pokemon HeartGold and SoulSilver, Pokemon Trainer Red (Ash) defeated Team Rocket "three years ago" and is now the Pokemon Master on top of Mount Silver. So that would mean he became the Pokemon Master at the age of 13. Well, I found that a little TOO young, especially when considering that in the anime he continues on to several different regions. So I've made him 15 when he's finally finished defeating all of the leagues and that's when he becomes the Pokemon Master. To add to that, I decided to have him up on top of Mount Silver for another five years to train, I mean look at how strong his Pokemon are in HeartGold/SoulSilver! (lvl 88 Pikachu) And I thought it'd be funny to add that during period of living on the mountain he came down with a cold and could only speak in ellipses (...'s) which is how Pokemon Trainer Red addresses you in the games. Also, as stated in one of the last episodes of Pokemon Diamond/Pearl, Brock decides to give up on becoming a breeder and realizes that he'd be much better as a doctor. Plus, I loved the idea of him getting married to either Joy or Jenny, so I decided on Joy, as they had similar career paths. Last is Misty. Not a lot is known about her, so I kind of made up my own back story on her, which I still love! She was the youngest Gym Leader (age 10) and has been the Gym Leader for the last ten years, never giving up.
